Table Tennis Character Designs

01 Problem

The client's requirement was to create 5 anthropomorphic character designs. Finding characters that are both interesting and representative of a sport can be difficult. It's hard to create characters that capture the look and feel of a sport while also having an animalistic twist.

02 Approach

Finding the ideal balance of animal traits and human qualities might be intimidating, but you want your characters to stand out and really capture your audience. Additionally, developing five characters who are consistent with your concept takes a lot of work.

03 Solution

Our team of expert illustrators crafted five distinct characters that perfectly capture the traits of a table tennis player: - The Bull Character, The Rhino Character , The Turtle Character, The Cheeta Character and The Chameleon Designs- all in an anthropomorphic style.

Character Designs

There are characteristics of table tennis players that let you choose your style of play.

The Controller (Cheeta)

The attacking player known as The Controller enjoys longer rallies. Because they will attack repeatedly in a variety of ways while missing relatively few shots, controllers are one of the most difficult types to counter.

The All-Rounder (Chameleon)

The All-Rounder believes there’s a perfect balance to table tennis. Sometimes, they attack, and others, they defend.

The Brick Wall (Rhino)

The Brick Walls like using their opponent’s power against them. These players transform defense into attack using blocking techniques.

The Defender (Turtle)

Defenders feel so confident in their ability to put the ball on the table that they’ll concede the initiative to their opponents and return each and every one of their attacks.

The Aggressor (Bull)

Limit tester by nature, the Aggressor is always willing to take risks if they think there is a chance to score a fantastic winning shot that’ll shock both their opponent and the crowd.
